If your goals include changing body composition, ask how a programme will be assessed before buying it. An EMS session should not come with an assumed calorie total or a guaranteed fat-loss result.

A contraction is not a calorie measurement
EMS uses electrical impulses to produce muscle contractions. The sensation, equipment setting or session length alone does not tell you exactly how much energy you used.
Clarify what progress means
Tell the coach which goals matter to you and agree how they will be reviewed. Keep measures consistent and distinguish a personal observation from proof that one training method caused a change.
Be careful with body-composition promises
Do not choose a package because it promises to preserve all lean muscle, target fat in a particular area or deliver a sculpted appearance by a deadline. Ask what evidence supports the advertised claim.
Review the whole service
Consider coaching, suitability assessment, appointment availability and package terms. Full Circle offers 20-minute EMS sessions; that duration is not an exact equivalent to hours of gym training.
