EMS stands for electrical muscle stimulation. It uses electrical impulses to produce muscle contractions. Wireless equipment changes the way the system connects; it does not turn a fitness session into medical treatment.

Use accurate terminology
An EMS fitness session should not be promoted as the benefits of an electrical shock. Ask the studio to explain the equipment, its intended use and how you communicate with the trainer throughout the session.
Safety is more than a wireless connection
The FDA reports adverse effects from some muscle stimulators, including burns, irritation and interference with implanted devices. Follow the device instructions and discuss suitability before use; wireless design alone is not evidence of safety.
Fitness sessions and medical treatment
The 2023 international WB-EMS position statement distinguishes commercial fitness from medical applications and emphasises screening and close supervision.
For background on device uses and limitations, see the FDA’s consumer information on muscle stimulators. This US information does not establish approval of Full Circle’s equipment or services in the UAE.
