Why EMS Works So Well for New Mums
Return to strength at a pace that respects you. Research in women has found improvements in strength and functional fitness during supervised exercise programmes that included whole-body EMS. However, that study involved postmenopausal women, not new mums, and does not demonstrate postpartum healing or pelvic-floor recovery.
Once your maternity care team clears you for EMS, discuss a gradual return focused on comfortable movement and personal coaching. Read the general women’s fitness research.
Deep Core Re-Activation
EMS helps you reconnect with deep core muscles that feel weak or “switched off” after childbirth.
Pelvic Floor Support (Guided + Gentle)
With proper breathing and coaching, many mums feel better stability and control over time.
Low-Impact Recovery
No jumping. No heavy lifting. Controlled movements that respect postpartum recovery.
Posture & Back Support
Strengthening core + back can reduce strain from feeding, carrying, and daily routines.
20 Minutes — Time Efficient
Perfect when baby schedules are unpredictable.
Confidence Boost
You’ll feel stronger, more supported, and more comfortable in your body again.
Designed Around Your Safety
When you can start
When can I start EMS after pregnancy?
Most mums can begin only after doctor clearance:
Vaginal delivery:
Often 6–8 weeks postpartum
C-section:
Often 8–12 weeks postpartum
How we keep it safe
Pre-session questionnaire + medical history check
Postpartum consultation to understand delivery type, recovery stage, and symptoms
Sessions begin at very low intensity and increase only when you’re comfortable
Early focus on legs, glutes, back, posture (core introduced gently and appropriately)
You stay in control — we can reduce or pause intensity anytime
⚠️ Important: Always train only after your healthcare provider clears you for exercise. EMS is not suitable during pregnancy and is introduced slowly after childbirth.
